It seems like 2009 will see several groupsets to be released. Indeed, while Shimano electric and mechanic groupsets were announced to be lighter than Sram Red groupset, Campagnolo is showing again a new version of his electronic groupset at E3 Harelbeke belgian pro race. It was first unveiled in 2003 at this race (see here) and there have had several evolution of the groupset since this date. This time, it’s Frederic David who was able to take some shots of the components. The pictures show clearly the new Camagnolo electronic groupset mounted on Cofidis bikes. The main shifting parts are reworked : levers, derailleurs, battery under the bottle cage, and quite well discreet cables. This is probably the final version of the groupset since it is already 5 years old it is under development, modifications and race tests… we hope the sixth year will be the public release.
